Mic level seems to be better. It's fasftrack two-in, two-out interface, so you can record either a stereo instrument, or a vocal and another instrument simultaneously, providing that the instrument is in mono.

I think i m-udio where the problem is though, so maybe it's just a matter of knowing how to set it up.
Good manufacturing quality and nice plastic housing considering the price. The device can work in quite a few DAWs out there, so you should have no issues in terms of compatibility for most of these, but it might start to lose support now that it's discontinued. It's a fine choice for home music recording, making podcasts, or any task where you need a budget-priced audio interface for a PC or Mac, and don't need to record more than two channels of audio simultaneously.

No Longer Available Update Location close. I was looking for an inexpensive USB interface to allow me to get guitar, bass and keyboard signals into my PC.

I find the user's manual 12 pages is comprehensive enough. The downside, pro tools is a pain due to its compatibility issues and im a pro tools guy but man does these guys have issues. You just connect it and you're ready to go.
The manual was confusing and hard to follow. This was the first model I got and I'm happy with it. You can't have plugins running while using this or else you'll experience latency. In addition, I needed a small portable USB sound card to record ideas on a guitar riff and drum midi song melodies all on a laptop.

I have an old computer in I'm not even sure. The quality of its mic pre is very good for volas and acustic instruments, its clear and it a bit of pad about -5db or db and its good for screaming vocals and loud guitar cabs. Nothing big, nothing out of this world.
But even in this state, it's still quite usable, with 16 recordinf of audio and eight virtual instruments tracks, plus over bundled virtual instrument sounds, a reverb, and EQ. This interface only cost about when it first came out and it is even cheaper now. I always use Pro Tools and rarely GarageBand.
It is very small and has 1 of everything, there's no variety but that's why it's cheap.
